Attenuated total reflection, surface enhanced infrared absorption spectroscopy (ATR-SEIRAS) is a spectrochemical method used to study heterogeneous redox reaction mechanisms. ATR-SEIRAS can detect changes in the concentrations of both electroactive species near the electrode surface, as well as the presence of adsorbed intermediates.
