Project Ownership
One of the great benefits of working for a smaller company is that you'll really be able to take ownership of your projects from start to finish. There's also a lot of room for you to step outside of your job position and learn new things!
Flexible Schedule
We want to make it as easy as possible for you to maintain work-life balance, so we don't have any "official" working hours. You'll also be welcome to work from home or in our office in Central Munich, whatever makes the most sense for you.
Salary Model
We use a holistic formula to determine each individual's salary. The formula includes a number of measures like industry rate, years of experience, and location cost of living. This helps us to ensure that everyone is paid equitably and there's no uncomfortable negotiations during the hiring process.

WHAT POSITION TYPES DO WE OFFER?
FULL TIME/PART TIME CONTRACTS
IRUBIS offers full time and part time positions:
- Full time positions are 40 hours/week
- Full time positions have 30 days vacation per year
- You have a budget and 1 day off for individual training of your choice or workshops
- We also offer most jobs as part-time positions e.g. 80%
STUDENT POSITIONS
We have several different options for students:
- Working student positions with up to 20 hours/week
- Master’s thesis projects
- Ingenieurspraxis, Forschungspraxis (TUM)
- Project Study | Projektstudium (TUM)
Our recruitment process
Step 1: Review your Documents
You will receive an automatic email confirmation that we've received your application materials. Depending on the position, you might also get a simple multiple-choice question. Your documents will be carefully checked and coordinated with the relevant department. We aim to reply to you within 4 days.
Step 2: Initial Meeting
You'll have a digital interview with Anja or another team member (depending of the position) where we both get to know each other better. We'll give you a deeper introduction to IRUBIS and provide more information about the position.
Step 3: Challenge and Technical Interview
You will be given a task to work on for a certain period of time. This can be either from home or in our office or laboratory. In the technical Interview, we will discuss your solution for the task and ask more in-depth questions relating to your experience, knowledge, and skills. The task is optional, depending on the position.
Step 4: On-Site Interview
The final interview will take place in our Munich office. You'll have the opportunity to meet and talk to our founders and other members our team. It's important for us that you and IRUBIS fit well together. We'll also explain our salary model to you.
Step 5: Offer
We want you on the team! You'll get our contract offer and and we'll start organizing all the necessary steps to welcome you to the team.

Don’t worry about the dress code.
We’re not a suit-and-tie kind of company! Our office dress is best described as “casual chic”, so just wear something to the interview that makes you feel your best.
Don’t be afraid to deviate from the job description.
We’re still a small company, so it’s always great to have team members who can occasionally step outside of their roles to contribute however they’re able. We’d love to hear about any other skills or interests you have that you might be able to use to further our mission!
